The Bundaberg Soaring Club was formed in 1965 at the clubs current site at the airfield 20 klms south on the Childers Road, just down from the Forestry Tower.

At present the club has 14 flying members. Currently we have a Twin Blank online that is used for Air Experience Flights and student training. There is a privately owned Twin Astir that is available for cross hire as well.

All launches at the airfield are by a winch. Flying takes place every Sunday, weather permitting.

We have just received funding towards a new Tractor and Park Mower. The State Governments Community Gambling Machine Grant contributed $30,000 towards this purchase. The club contributed a further $9,000 to make this project a reality.

These items are well received by the club as it's old David Brown has finally given up the ghost. The new Park Mower, although a costly item, will be of great benefit to the club as it will improve the strip by cutting lower than the old slasher and keeping the clumping grasses down. This makes for a smother landing and takeoff.
