Welcome to the Bundaberg Gliding Club

The Bundaberg Soaring Club was formed in 1965 at the clubs current site at the airfield 20 klms south on the Childers Road, just down from the Forestry Tower.

At present the club has 14 flying members. Currently we have a Twin Blanik online that is used for Air Experience Flights and student training. There is a privately owned Twin Astir that is available for cross hire as well.

All launches at the airfield are by winch. Click HERE to see what a winch launch looks like.  Flying takes place every Sunday, weather permitting.

Air Experience Flight Vouchers are available for a loved ones special occasion. Please contact us to find out how you can purchase one of these.

Our New Pie Cart

A new mobile shade structure has been built by the club for the benefit of it's members and the local community who come out for Air Experience Flights. This has been done with the generous help from the Bundaberg Regional Council through one of its Community Grants. Without this grant we would still be using an old van with an awning that was in tatters. We sincerely thank the Bundaberg Regional Council for this grant and also a big thanks goes to the Club Members who spent long hours fabricating this masterpiece.
