The June 2010 Open Day weekend is done and dusted! Even though Mother Nature tried her best to spoil things on Saturday with some pretty miserable weather, she more than made up for it with the spectacular conditions she offered up on Sunday. Crystal clear, blue skies and a slight breeze.....a total change from the cold, drizzly conditions of the day before! Nigel Arnott from the Boonah Gliding Club brought his Fox aerobatic glider up for the weekend and showed us all just how versatile a glider can really be. He and Mick (his aerotow pilot in a Super Cub) put on a fantastic show, which included taking many club members for aerobatic flights over the 2 days. We flew lots of Air Experience flights in the excellent conditions on Sunday, with some people lining up immediately for a second flight as soon as they landed. Good stuff!
